As I don’t have a television where I live, I usually just watch what I want, when I want. However, while being home for the weekend without bringing my computer, I had to survive with the television as company. It’s usually a hard task to find anything I haven’t yet seen, and this time was no exception. However, late at night while preparing to go to sleep, a great movie suddenly appeared; The Motorcycle Diaries. I watched it a couple of years ago, but just had to watch the rest before going to sleep. (more…)

As this is intended to be a travel-related blog, I thought, why not write about some movies as well? Now, I’m not thinking about some old boring documentaries, but there’s actually quite a lot of movies out there involving traveling in one way or another. The first one I will write about; Transsiberian. (more…)

First time, this. The plan is to make a weekly post, and present some of my web findings, preferably travel-related.
The web is full of fancy stuff, with quite variable usefulness. As this mainly is supposed to be a site about travelling, photography etc., I thought I would start off with some of my absolute favourites. None of them are especially new, and hopefully most people know about them. Anywho, here’s this week’s favs; (more…)

I have longed to go to Japan for quite some time now. Exactly why, I can’t seem to be able to answer. A couple of years ago I discovered the works of a fantastic japanese author, Haruki Murakami. I find his writing style quite rare. He writes in a way that really catches the readers attention, and many, if not all his books are based on a merge between everyday-Japan and a fantasy-world. The way he describes people, buildings, cities and nature has made me want to go see for myself. (more…)

To describe Cuba with one word? Impossible. Exhaust, poor roads, not-working cars and humidity. Still, the people, friendliness, charm and hope.

As I hardly never updated my personal Norwegian blog, and had close to no readers, I decided it was time for some big changes.
My old blog that really didn’t have any meaning or theme is gone, and a new is created. As I really looove to travel and do it a little too much, I can’t see why I shouldn’t write about my experiences. If not interesting for other people, at least I have somewhere to look around, and remember all the good times I’ve had. I am quite interested in photography as well, and since my camera is my dearest travel companion, I will try to post as many pictures as possible!
Hopefully I will find time to write about, at least some, of my old journeys, and of course try to be as quick as possible to write about my future trips. Enjoy!
